The wine is made from Merlot grapes from our “La
Sarda” plot in the municipality of
Miranda de Arga. The spalier arrangement of the wine
exposes the grapes to the utmost sunshine, resulting
in robust and powerful wines.
WINEMAKING
The grapes ferment at 26°C-28°C and are left
to macerate 10 more days until the must is removed
from the barrels. After the malolactic fermentation
and the decanting, it is kept for 3 - 6 months in
new Allier oak casks depending on our winemaker’s
estimation.
TASTING
Medium-high ruby-cherry red colour with garnet-red
shades. Intense on the nose, it
displays complex aromas of new cask, forest, spices,
tobacco and a lot of fruit. Very attractive and rich.
Powerful and nicely-structured on the mouth, punctuated
with sweet and soft tanins. Serve at:16°C. Ideal
for roast and charcoal-grilled meats.
